With strong community support, we've provided gift baskets and recognition to inspire students, reinforcing the importance of extracurricular involvement in shaping better life outcomes.

Derek

Cactus Wren Little League

Derek is a standout leader both on and off the baseball field. As a dedicated athlete, he consistently supports his teammates, demonstrating sportsmanship and a positive attitude during practices and games. Whether it’s calling a timeout to calm a pitcher or hustling after every ball, Derek’s passion for the sport is evident.

Off the field, Derek is equally committed to giving back. He volunteers regularly at a food packaging organization, helping prepare meals for those in need. He also supports Halo Animal Rescue by collecting and making blankets, and his peers in his homeschool co-op admire him for his willingness to lend a helping hand and lead by example.

Derek’s respect for others, dedication to his community, and leadership qualities make him a deserving recipient of the Student Athlete of the Month award.

Nathan

Nathan’s dedication to baseball and leadership qualities make him a standout student-athlete. For the past four years, he’s balanced playing on both a travel ball team and Little League while excelling academically in the gifted math program at Lookout Mountain Elementary. A talented musician, Nathan also plays the saxophone and guitar. His sportsmanship, encouragement, and positive attitude inspire his teammates and peers, embodying the spirit of a true student-athlete.

Ivan

Ivan’s dedication to academics, athletics, and personal growth makes him a true standout. A gifted student at Abraham Lincoln Traditional, Ivan thrives in STEM activities and attended the D-backs STEAM Camp to explore the science of baseball. On the field, he leads by example as a top pitcher and hitter, encouraging his teammates with a positive attitude. Outside of baseball, Ivan practices karate, attends church, and excels in track and field, recently earning a blue ribbon in the long jump. Ivan embodies the values of a student-athlDividerete through hard work, leadership, and character.

Isaac

Isaac’s dedication and resilience make him an outstanding student-athlete. After breaking his leg last season, he worked hard through therapy to return just three months later, inspiring everyone around him. A talented swimmer and a strong student, Isaac excels in math and science and recently won a school-wide art competition. He’s a leader on and off the field, always supporting his teammates and setting an example of sportsmanship.

Jason

Jason’s dedication to academics, leadership, and athletics makes him a standout student-athlete. As Student Council President, he excels academically with a 4.0 GPA while managing multiple sports, including basketball, soccer, baseball, and competitive swimming. On the baseball field, Jason leads by example—encouraging teammates, communicating effectively, and hustling every play. His competitive yet supportive attitude inspires others, making him a true leader both on and off the field.

He embodies the ideal balance of student and athlete, setting a strong foundation for future success.
