The RisingEd Initiative is committed to uplifting youth in Phoenix, particularly those attending Title 1 schools and involved in youth organizations. We focus on improving educational outcomes and providing meaningful support to underserved youth through programs like our Student Athlete of the Month and RVP Open Mic Events. These efforts aim to offer recognition and resources to students who often go unnoticed, celebrating their achievements, resilience, and leadership.
We believe that students in Title 1 schools deserve recognition for their hard work and determination, which is why we honor their efforts through the
Student Athlete of the Month program. Additionally, we provide youth with a safe space to express their creativity through our quarterly Open Mic Events, offering small grants to help them pursue their artistic passions. Our research shows that many students lack both acknowledgment and safe outlets to develop their creative skills, and we aim to fill that gap. By supporting youth in both athletics and the arts, RisingEd fosters stronger life outcomes and contributes to building a brighter future for Phoenix’s youth.
We recognize and celebrate the dedication, hard work, and resilience of student-athletes in Phoenix through our Student Athlete of the Month program. By highlighting their achievements both on and off the field, we aim to inspire excellence, leadership, and perseverance in young athletes. Every student deserves recognition for their commitment, and we are here to shine a light on their success.
Our initiative partners with schools and community organizations to identify outstanding student-athletes who demonstrate strong character, academic dedication, and athletic excellence. Through this program, we provide recognition and support that encourages them to continue striving for greatness. Sports teach discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values that extend beyond the game—and we are committed to ensuring young athletes have the encouragement and resources to reach their full potential.

The Rising Valley Project is a Phoenix-based nonprofit dedicated to tackling critical social challenges with innovative, lasting solutions. Through hands-on initiatives and research, we focus on three key areas: combating homelessness with Project Hope for Homeless, empowering education through the RisingEd Initiative, and advocating for mental wellness with our Mental Health Initiative. Our mission is to create a brighter future for everyone in our community. Learn more about how you can support or participate by clicking below.
We focus on three core areas:
- Homelessness: Providing resources and support through Project Hope for Homeless.
- Education: Empowering students and educators via the RisingEd Initiative.
- Mental Health: Promoting mental wellness through advocacy and outreach programs.
There are several ways to support our work:
- Donate: Your contributions directly fund our programs and initiatives.
- Volunteer: Help out with our events or programs to make a difference hands-on.
- Internships: Students can apply for internships with us to gain experience while earning school credit.
- Spread the Word: Share our mission and work with your network to help us grow our impact.
Your donations directly support our three main initiatives and make a tangible impact in the community. For example:
- Homelessness: Donations help fund our annual blanket drive, providing warm blankets to individuals experiencing homelessness during the cold winter months.
- Education: Contributions support educational resources and programs for under-resourced schools, empowering students and teachers alike.
- Mental Health: Your support helps us create and distribute mental health kits for children in counseling, providing them with tools to manage stress and improve emotional well-being.
Every dollar you give fuels our mission to create lasting change. We’re committed to transparency and ensuring your contributions make a measurable difference.
