Project Hope for Mental Health is dedicated to addressing the mental health challenges faced by children and families in Phoenix through research, targeted giveback initiatives, and long-term advocacy. We begin by conducting in-depth research to better understand the stigma surrounding mental health in Arizona, particularly for youth, and the barriers it creates to accessing support. To combat this, we provide Mental Health Kits to our partner counseling practices at no cost. These kits contain sensory items, affirmation cards, breathing techniques, and mental health resources to make the counseling experience more comfortable for children, promoting a smoother transition for both clients and counselors and accelerating progress in their therapeutic relationships.
Through our ongoing research and advocacy efforts, we work toward removing the stigma surrounding mental health, helping children feel empowered to seek support. Like our approach with homelessness, we combine immediate action through giveback operations with the long-term goal of building lasting solutions. Our vision for the future includes integrating our mental health and homelessness initiatives to provide free therapy sessions for homeless individuals, helping them transition back into society with the support they need to thrive.
Focused on providing tools, resources, and safe spaces for emotional recovery, the initiative is dedicated to supporting individuals on their mental health journey. Healing represents both individual and community growth as mental health needs are addressed compassionately.
This initiative empowers individuals, especially young people, to take control of their mental well-being. Through education, resources, and support, it equips them with the confidence and tools to thrive emotionally and advocate for mental health awareness.
The initiative aims to challenge negative perceptions about mental health by fostering open conversations, providing supportive resources, and normalizing seeking help. It’s about creating a culture where mental health is prioritized and no one feels ashamed to reach out for support.
The Rising Valley Project is a Phoenix-based nonprofit dedicated to tackling critical social challenges with innovative, lasting solutions. Through hands-on initiatives and research, we focus on three key areas: combating homelessness with Project Hope for Homeless, empowering education through the RisingEd Initiative, and advocating for mental wellness with our Mental Health Initiative. - Education: Contributions support educational resources and programs for under-resourced schools, empowering students and teachers alike.
- Mental Health: Your support helps us create and distribute mental health kits for children in counseling, providing them with tools to manage stress and improve emotional well-being.
Every dollar you give fuels our mission to create lasting change. We’re committed to transparency and ensuring your contributions make a measurable difference.
